AN ANCIENT STORY
The name Carolomagno (Charlemagne in English) recalls one of the greatest figures of medieval history, representing the charisma and importance of this brand. Puglia has always been invaded and conquered: Greeks, Romans, Normans, the Spanish, Goths and Lombards to name a few.
The influences of the various invading peoples have left an indelible trace of DNA on Puglia. Fiano, one of the most prestigious white grape varieties to be grown in southern Italy and Primitivo are made for the Carlomagno range using the Appassimento drying technique. The aim is to allow the deep soul of Puglia’s compelling terroir to shine through in the Carlomagno wines.
