Biodiversity of Sicily
Stefano and Marina Girelli, third generation brother and sister from a Trentino winemaking family, fell in love with Sicily in 2010.
In 2016 they acquired Azienda Agricola Cortese, situated a few kilometres from Santa Tresa in Vittoria, in the wonderful Ragusa hinterland. Cortese was first introduced to the market in 2017 with its inaugural vintage of organic, vegan-friendly wines.
Stefano realised a long time ago that Sicily was both underrated as a wine producing region and that it had the potential to produce organic wines of tremendous quality.
A passionate supporter of organic and sustainable production, Stefano lives and breathes this way of life, truly believing that we all have a responsibility to the next generation to hand over a better world. Sustainable production also makes better quality, better tasting wines.
Wines of prestige
