Veneto

Identity and variety

VENETO

A REGION KNOWN ALL OVER THE WORLD

The Veneto is the third largest wine producing region in Italy after Sicily and Puglia.
White grape varieties dominate, Glera being the most cultivated grape in the Veneto as it is the base wine of the world-famous Prosecco.

Prosecco and Pinot Grigio

Prosecco is a wine with ancient origins and its history is inextricably linked with the Veneto region.  Prosecco must contain at least 85% Glera.

The ubiquitous Pinot Grigio can actually boast a very important parent – it originally comes from the Pinot Noir vine. While Pinot Grigio is one of the most grown grape varieties in Italy, with the right care, it can make excellent quality wines.
